You are invited to participate in this one-day event “ART IN THE CLOSE” At St. Michaels Church in Bristol, June 12, 2010 (rain date June 19, 2010) The Event is open to 2D and 3D artists, There will be 28 artists Displaying on the Fence and 8 artists in the Close, a 10x10 foot tent may be used in the close, but no tents along the sidewalk along the public sidewalk. Please bring clear plastic to cover your artwork in case of summer showers. Please bring a folding chair of some sort. Each artist will be assigned an 8 Foot section of fence to display their artwork. Feel free to stop and look at the fence and be creative in preparing a way to display your work, on the day of the show. Set up will be at 8 am. You must have a sales permit from the State of RI to display on the fence. If you do not have one you may get one through the state of RI Department of Revenue, Division of taxation, one capital hill, Providence RI 02908 You may also get a temporary Sales tax permit at a cost of $10.00. This must be displayed and Sales tax collected from sales must be handed in with a copy of your permit at the end of the day. There will be a Commission of 25% on all sales.

Artists in all
fine arts disciplines are welcome to apply. Artists agree to be present during
all show hours. No commercial agents, dealers or manufacturers may enter. Send
two photographs of your work with the application with a SASE for return of
photos. All work must be original. We have the right to remove any artwork we
find inappropriate, for this public event.
1.) The event will be held SATURDAY JUNE 12, 2010 open to the public from 10:00 AM to 5:00PM
Set up and check in time will be 8 AM. Artists may park in the municipal parking lot on Court Street,
Diagonally across from the church, Or on Thames Street behind the church, after unloading.
2.) Your Application must be received with an entry fee of $35.00 Checks should be made payable

We will email your acceptance into the show along with the number of the space assigned to you on a first come first served basis.
Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.
